Bharti Airtel appoints Nakul Sehgal as Corporate Chief Financial Officer

New Delhi, March 14, 2019: Bharti Airtel (Bharti), one of India’s leading business groups, today announced the appointment of Nakul Sehgal as Corporate Chief Financial Officer. He will report to Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman, Bharti Airtel Ltd.

Nakul will be the key interface between the corporate office and operations, will lead the investor relations & group taxation functions, monitor investments across geographies and will work closely with both Airtel India and Airtel Africa to ensure high quality deliverables by group finance shared services functions to both regions. He will also be actively involved with Airtel Africa IPO and fund raising at Airtel India.

Nakul brings over 17 years of professional experience having worked in three continents where he held key positions within the financial and commercial areas of international business operations in emerging and advanced markets. He also led the Assurance and Business Advisory Services for large multinational / multi location clients within telecom, technology, retail, real-estate, manufacturing and financial services industries advising and assisting in US GAAP, IFRS and SEC requirements. Nakul is a Charted Accountant from ICAI and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), State Board of Colorado, USA.

His last assignment was with the Telenor Group, where he worked for eight years in various senior level positions across geographies including India. In his last role he was the CFO at Digi.com Berhad (Malaysia). Prior to joining Telenor Group, Nakul also worked with Ernst & Young and PWC.
