Bharti Telesoft Appoints Manoranjan Mohapatra as its CEO

New Delhi, November 15, 2007: Bharti Telesoft, a rapidly growing provider of value added services and business support solutions for telecom operators worldwide, today announced the appointment of Manoranjan Mohapatra as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Bharti Telesoft, founded in 2001, is today a vibrant company providing several innovative products to customers across the globe. Manoranjan will be responsible for taking Bharti Telesoft from a young, evolving company to a mature, globally focused organisation, growing both organically and inorganically. He will report to the Chairman and Group CEO of Bharti Enterprises.

Announcing Manoranjan's appointment, Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman and Group CEO, Bharti Enterprises said “We are delighted to have Manoranjan on board. Manoranjan brings with him over 25 years experience, in engineering, business development, and overall managing of a large telecom software organisation. Before joining Bharti Telesoft, he was the President and COO of Aricent (formerly Flextronics and Hughes Software Systems) and was involved with several acquisitions in the organisation and has experience of integrating large teams. In addition, he was instrumental in taking the company public. He has a strong telecom background, having worked in the R&D department of C-DOT, the premier telecom R&D institute in India.

Sanjiv Mital, who led the company for the last 6 years, has been appointed as Vice Chairman of Bharti Telesoft. He will continue to remain on the board of the company and play an evangelizing role in creating greater value for the Bharti Telesoft.
